As a melee attack or an alternative defense, a character may attempt to disarm her opponent. The character knocks the opponent’s weapon out of his hands and to the ground.
Done as a melee attack, the character and the target make opposed touch attack and defense rolls as usual. If the attack roll wins, the character knocks the opponent’s weapon out of his hands and to the ground.
Done as a defense, the character adds his Combat Maneuver bonus to the defense roll against a target number of 19 rather than the target’s attack roll. This is an immediate attack action.
